PayPal could still underperform expectations despite a reset with a new chief executive, according to MoffetNathanson. The firm downgraded PayPal stock to market perform from outperform in a Monday note, and lowered its price target to $75 per share. Moderna — The pharmaceutical company lost more than 8% Monday, making it the biggest decliner in the S&P 500. Enphase Energy — Shares lost 2.6% after Citi lowered its price target on shares to $170 from $209 while keeping its buy rating. The new price target implies 41% upside from Friday's close. Analyst Chris Quintero highlighted the growth opportunity for the company following a strong investment cycle. Armed with impressive rewards and a loyal customer base, AmEx is a giant in the credit card industry. The company's revenue has increased by over 32% since 2017 when adjusted for inflation and the company's shares have shown resilience and growth in a tumultuous market. "Discount revenue," or fees charged to merchants that accept its cards, is the company's main source of revenue. "And merchants are willing to pay that premium because American Express is bringing them the most affluent, biggest spenders." Recent company reports claim that Amex card members spend, on average, three times as much annually as those who aren't members.
Analysts expect Iger to make major changes to ESPN's broadcasting strategy for live sports. Bob Iger has been reinstated as the CEO of the Walt Disney Company, replacing Bob Chapek after less than three years at the helm. Iger's return has boosted Disney's stock price by 6% in the past day with experts predicting major strategic changes within the company. The cost of these rights deals have also continued to shoot up amid the transition from linear TV to direct-to-consumer services. It actually strengthens the brand of ESPN when you have a betting component, and it has no impact on the Disney brand."
